||A global, non-proprietary, open source exchange format created to facilitate the processing and storage of large volume multibeam sonar data. It is developed by the Open Navigation Surface Working Group.

It is used for reporting and classifying benthic litter monitoring data from fish trawl surveys. Excel variants are allowed.

||A public domain metadata standard which allows georeferencing information to be embedded within a TIFF file. The potential additional information includes map projection, coordinate systems, ellipsoids, datums, and other attributes to establish the exact spatial reference for the file.
