Definition | The KduPRO-RGB is a low-cost do-it-yourself (DIY) instrument evolved from the KdUINO (Bardaji et al, 2016). The KduPRO-RGB utilises a TCS34725 light sensor, which provides a digital return of lighting intensity by photo-diodes on four different channels (red, green, blue, and PAR), and includes an infrared blocking filter. It contains an integrated analogue to digital converter (ADC) to modify the lighting intensity into digital values. The units are defined as counts by simply counting the number of pulses (Rodero et al, 2022). Several instances of the KduPRO-RGB may be used at different depths in the water column in series to estimate the diffuse attenuation coefficient, Kd. | ||
