Definition | A rectangular framework 100 cm wide by 20 cm tall with a pair of wings that ride the sea surface and a pair of paravanes to guide the net away from the ship. Attached to the frame was a Bongo Net (240 cm circumference) with 505 um mesh. A 100 kg weight was used to hold the asymmetrical bridle down below the surface so that the mouth opening was relatively free of towing lines.
