Definition A mixture of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons whose concentrations are summed to produce an overall 'PAH concentration' by the Institute of Marine Sciences, Middle East Technical University, Turkey. The mixture comprises naphthalene, 1-methylnaphthalene, 1-ethylnaphtahalene, acenaphthylene, acenapthane, fluorene, phenanthrene, anthracene, 2-methylphenanthrene, 1-methylphenanthrene, fluoranthene, 3-6 dimethyl, pyrene, 1-methylpyrene, chrysene and perylene.
