Definition The Vaisala PTU200 is a series of air pressure, humidity, and temperature transmitters suitable for a range of meteorological and environmental monitoring applications. The PTU200 transmitter uses the Vaisala BAROCAP Sensor for pressure measurement, and a platinum RTD sensor for temperature measurement. The humidity and temperature probes are fitted with the Vaisala HUMICAP Sensor. For outdoor use, a Vaisala Meteorological Installation Kit PTU200MIK1 is available, which includes an IP65 (NEMA 4) rated enclosure for the barometer, a static pressure head, and a radiation shield for the humidity and temperature probe. A Vaisala Tripod may be equipped to the transmitter to enable quick field setup. The PTU200 can be equipped with a second pressure sensor for added reliability. Pressure: range 50 to 1300 hPa (dependant on class); accuracy (at 20 degC) +/-0.10 to +/-0.30 hPa (dependant on class). Relative humidity: range 0.8 to 100 percent; accuracy (at 20 degC) +/-1 percent RH (factory references), +/-2 percent RH (0-90 percent RH against field calibration references), +/-3 percent RH (90-100 percent against field calibration references). Temperature: range -36 to 60 degC; accuracy +/-0.5 degC (at -40degC), +/-0.2 degC (at 20 degC), +/-0.4 degC (at 60 degC).
