| Definition | A high volume ambient Total Suspended Particulate (TSP) air sampler featuring a volumetric flow controller (VFC) for particulate sampling and air quality or emissions monitoring. Total suspended particulates in the air are sampled by a vacuum motor which pulls ambient air onto the 8″ x 10″ glass fiber filter at a flow rate of 44 cubic feet per minute (CFM). TSP air particulate samplers do not use a particle separator which results in the collection of all ambient particulates. The glass fiber filters are weighed pre and post sample and the weight is used to determine the total suspended particulate matter. The flow rate is controlled by a critical orifice with a predetermined orifice hole diameter and a maintenance-free brushless style motor assembly that operates wide open. A 7-day mechanical timer, an elapsed time indicator, and a 24-hour Dickson pressure chart recorder are included with the instrument. An anodized aluminium housing is available as the default setup. Power supply for the TE-5170V-BL model is 110 V, 60 Hz. | ||
