Definition | An instrument designed for the measurement of atmospheric carbon dioxide. The GMP343 is a small, lightweight but rugged CO2 probe with low power consumption and heat emission designed for ecological measurements in harsh environments, especially outdoors. The probe contains a CARBOCAP sensor comprising three major components - a light source, a Fabry-Perot interferometer and a non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) detector. The interferometer allows light of two wavelengths to pass through to the detector - the wavelength at which carbon dioxide absorbs light and a nearby non-absorbing wavelength for comparison purposes. The GMP343 can output both numerically filtered and raw measurement data, and it can also compensate the measurement with an internal temperature measurement and user-set relative humidity, pressure and oxygen values. Diffusion and flow-through models are available, and an M170 indicator can be used as a display, communication, and data logging device. Accuracy (excluding noise) at 25 deg C and 1013 hPa after factory calibration with 0.5 % accurate gases for the 0 -1000 ppm model is +/- 3 ppm + 1 % of reading. | ||
