| Definition | A high-efficiency subsea LED that can simultaneously operate as a lamp and a strobe. It can be integrated into subsea camera systems such as those found on remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), observatories, drop and tow systems, and battery-operated systems. It is available in two depth ratings - a 500 m option with anodised aluminium housing and a 6000 m option with Grade 5 titanium housing. Lens material is sapphire. LED activation time is tightly synchronised with the camera system exposure time to ensure the video stream is uninterrupted while collecting photos. The lamp output is up to 15000 lumens, strobe output is +32000 lumens, and colour temperature is 5000 K. The beam angle is 80 degrees circular and electrical efficiency is 180 lumen/watt at 15 deg C in water. Control is via a serial RS-485 port. A beam diffuser is available to be attached in front of the LED. | ||
