| Definition | A weather station with pre-installed meteorology sensors. Wind speed is measured using a solid-state magnetic sensor. A wind vane and potentiometer are used to measure wind direction. Rain is collected in a tipping spoon type collector. Temperature is measured using a PN junction silicon diode and relative humidity is measured using a film capacitor element. The package is equipped with console (6351) and Integrated Sensor Suite (ISS) with outside and inside temperature and humidity, barometer, wind, and rain sensors as standard. The radiation shield is 'passive'. It can receive and display data from the Vantage Pro2 Plus which includes two additional sensors: UV sensor and solar radiation sensor. The console power is sourced via batteries or AC adapter. Data is transferred using a wireless solar-powered transmitter. WeatherLink Live or Weather Link data loggers allow the station to interface with a computer to log and upload data to the internet. Compatible Integrated Sensor Suite product numbers: 6357 (uses ISS model 6357OV). | ||
