Definition | An oxygen sensor that employs a pressure-compensated Beckman oxygen electrode to measure dissolved oxygen. Typically comprises a silver anode and a platinum cathode, immersed in a potassium chloride electrolyte contained inside a glass tube. The bottom of the tube is sealed with a gas permeable plastic membrane and the platinum cathode is held tightly against the inside of this membrane. | ||
