Definition | A marine sediment corer. It uses the pull of gravity to penetrate the seabed with a core barrel to collect samples. Manufactured in mild steel with varying corer barrel lengths between 1m and 6m, and a range of barrel diameters. These can also be adapted to be used as Piston corers and supplied with stainless steel releaser mechanisms. | ||
