Definition | A complete scanning UV/VIS spectrophotometer used for testing in visible and ultraviolet wavelengths. A gas-filled tungsten lamp produces light in the visible spectrum (320 to 1100 nm) and a deuterium lamp produces light in the ultraviolet spectrum (190 to 360 nm). The instrument has a large sample cell compartment that contains a universal cell holder which can hold five common cell types. The wavelength range is 190 - 1100 nm with a wavelength accuracy of 1nm. The scanning spead is one complete scan per moniute in 1 nm steps and the spectral bandwidth is 2 nm. The instrument has a touch screen display through which 7 applications and over 200 programs can be selected as well as digital readouts produced. The spectrophotometer is no longer in production and has been replaced by the Hach DR 6000 Benchtop Spectrophotometer. | ||
