| Definition | The GRIMM 5.403 Condensation Particle Counter is a portable nano particle counter. Sample air is saturated with butanol vapour and heated to 35 deg C, then cooled to 10 deg C. Particles act as condesation nuclei for the cooling butanol, forming droplets of around 10 um, which are counted by an optical particle counter. | ||
