| Definition | A 45 cm diameter mouth opening with a closing door and a metal cylinder 45 cm long to which is attached a net of 5 meters length. The sampler sinks with closing door open flushing the net. When halted attached line lifted, the door closes and end of net is closed capturing a 600 litre sample [Wiebe and Benfield 2003 Plate 10 E]. | ||
