Definition | A 152 cm x 152 cm rectangular mouth opening net attached to metal tube frame with Isaacs depressors attached to bottom corners. Net was 579 cm long made of 5.5 x 2.5 mm rectangular nylon mesh. Towed at speeds of 5 knots. A bathythermograph attached to the top frame member provide a temperature-depth trace for a tow. Not ordinarily used with a flowmeter [Wiebe and Benfield 2003 Plate 4 C, D]. | ||
