Definition | A laser diffraction particle size analyser designed to measure particle size in the micrometre to millimetre range. It uses a low angle forward light scattering method with optional PIDS (Polarization Intensity Differential Scattering) technology. It implements both the Fraunhofer and Mie light scattering theories. It has a measurement range of 0.017 um - 2mm. It has a measurement time of 15 - 90 seconds and operates between 10 and 40 degC. Light sources: Solid State (780 nm); PIDS - Tungsten lamp with band-pass filters (450, 600 and 900 nm). | |
