Definition | A fully automated isotope ratio mass spectrometer, designed for all dual-inlet and continuous-flow applications which do not require Deuterium-to-Hydrogen (D/H) capability. This model is an evolution of the DELTAplus, and features new electronics with extended dynamic range signals (up to 50 V), as well as computer-controlled amplification ranges, ionsource potentials and system parameters. It was developed to determine isotope ratios of e.g. 13C/12C, 15N/14N, 18O/16O, 34S/32S in dual inlet (which also allows D/H determination) and continuous flow modes. The instrument uses the ISODAT 2.0 software package for set-up, tuning and automatic operation. Like its predecessor DELTAplus, the DELTAplus Advantage has a mass range of 1-70 Dalton at 3kV acceleration voltage for all gas species. | |
