| Definition | This is a 260 kHz multibeam imaging sonar with an aluminium or stainless steel case capable of operating at depths down to 1000 metres. Depending on mode selected there are 120, 240 or 480 beams. The transducer beam width is 120 by 3 degrees for both transmit and receive. The effective horizontal beam with is 3 degrees (120 beams), 1.5 degrees (240 beams) or 0.75 degrees (480 beams). Minimum detectable range is 0.5m and the frame rate is up to 20 frames per second. | |
